1. What kinds of network cable you have?
Our main network cables are CAT5e and CAT6a. For CAT6a, we have different types.
2. What’s the difference of CAT5e and CAT6a network cables?
CAT.5e, Cat5 and Cat5e cables are physically similar, Category 5e Ethernet adheres to more stringent IEEE standards. “E” is for enhanced, meaning a lower-noise version where the potential for crosstalk is reduced. Crosstalk is interference that transfers from adjacent wires. Cat5e is the most common type of cabling used for deployments due to its ability to support Gigabit speeds at a cost-effective price. Even though both Cat5 and Cat5e support a maximum frequency of up to 100MHz, Cat5e has completely replaced its predecessor. Gigabit Ethernet utilizes 4 data pairs in comparison to Fast Ethernet which utilizes 2 data pairs. Further, Cat 5e supports speeds of up to 1000 Mbps. It’s flexible enough for small space installations like residences, though it is still used in commercial spaces. Of all the current cabling options, Cat5e is your least expensive option.
Keywords: 100-250Mhz / 1 Gbps / 100m.
CAT.6a, Cat6a supports bandwidth frequencies of up to 500 MHz, twice the amount of Cat6 cable, and can also support 10Gbps like its predecessor. However, unlike Cat6 cabling, Cat6a can support 10 Gigabit Ethernet at 100 meters. Cat6 cabling on the other hand, can transmit the same speeds at up to 37 meters. Cat6a also features more robust sheathing which eliminates alien crosstalk (AXT) and improves upon the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). “A” = augmented. The stronger sheathing makes Cat6a cabling considerably thicker than Cat6, also making it less flexible to work with, and therefore, better suited for industrial environments at a lower price point.
Keywords: 250-500Mhz / 10 Gbps / 100m.
3. What’s the use up distance of your cables?
You can refer to the table below:
Item code | For CAT5e | For CAT6a |
CAT5FB | 50m | |
HFC6AP | 70m | 60m |
HFC6AP75 | 70m | 60m |
C6AP | 100m | 70m |
C6AE | 100m | 70m |
C6APX | 110m | 100m |
C6AEX | 110m | 100m |
4. How can go to choose them?
You can choose based on your usage requirement, for audio or video signal and also the transfer distance. For example, if you need the cable for audio signal transfer with the distance less than 50m, our CAT5FB cable is enough. And however if you need to transfer video signal with the distance around 100m, you should choose C6APX and C6AEX.
5. What’s the difference of code C6AP and C6AE, C6APX and C6AEX?
C6AP and C6AE have the same technical and electrical data, and also the suggested use up distance. But C6AP is with PVC jacket and C6AE is with TPE jacket, PVC jacket is much more cost effective, but TPE jacket is much more flexible, wearproof, corrosion resistance and etc., so choose them by the environment. Same for C6APX and C6AEX.
